ESSMA Global Stadium Tour

The European Stadium & Safety Management Association will assemble during its Global Stadium Tour in Minneapolis and Miami (USA) from 29 August to 1 September 2017. Next to extended stadium tours, participants will enjoy presentations, meetings with executive staff/management and of course game day experiences. Amongst the venues we have U.S. Bank Stadium (Minnesota Vikings), Hard Rock Stadium (Miami Dolphins) and many more.



Executive staff and management will give you a unique behind-the-scenes tour: the unique opportunity to ask all your questions on stadium-related matters.


Hosting venues will give presentations on their operations and projects.


Meet with venue industry peers from all over the world.


We will be visiting top class venues in Minneapolis and Miami.

U.S. Bank Stadium

U.S. Bank Stadium has the largest transparent ethylene-tetraflouroethylene (EFTE) roof in the USA. U.S. Bank Stadium features five of the world’s largest hinged doors, ranging from 23 to 29 meters (75 to 95 feet) tall. The LED lighting can adjust color temperatures and turn off and on quickly to allow for unique viewing experience. The stadium has also the closest seats to the field in the NFL.

Target Field has the largest canopy in baseball, protecting fans from the elements despite the stadium not having a roof. Though designed specifically as a baseball venue, it has the capability to accommodate american football, soccer, and outdoor concerts. Its extensive event and conference facilities are marketed for corporate and other non-baseball events. In 2010, ESPN Magazine ranked Target Field as the #1 baseball stadium experience in North America.


Hard Rock Stadium

Hard Rock Stadium is a multipurpose american football stadium. The 8 spiral ramps, two in each corner, are the signature feature of the stadium. In 2016, one of the USA’s most spectacular roofs was built in just 9 months. Heat-resistant translucent panels on the west and north ends of the shade canopy protect fans from the rain. Hard Rock Stadium has hosted five Super Bowls and will host Super Bowl LIV in 2020.
